When you logon to the control panel there is a column with all the required information. This includes all the features of the web server and your hosting account. The first thing that you will see is the package; Web Hosting package that was provided to you by your web Hosting Provider. It will display the name of the package that you had placed the order for. Your hosting package is nothing but a small collection of all the aspects of the total resources allocated to your account from the server with a complete access.
IP Address: The IP address that reflects in your account is the one on which your web hosting account is created. In other words your domain or website and the control panel are accessible from this IP Address. In general you get a Shared IP Address for your hosting account on Shared Hosting Plan and Reseller Hosting Plans. However you can purchase a Dedicated IP for your website if required. The main purpose of the Dedicated IP is to install SSL Certificate. Apart from this all business related websites are incomplete without a SSL Certificate. Some webmasters prefer to assign a Dedicated IP to each domain hosted on their Web Hosting account.
Subdomains: The total number of subdomains that are hosted on your web hosting account are displayed in this section. It also displays the information on how many more subdomains can be hosted the account. A subdomain is nothing but a prefix to your main domain. A subdomain may look like this subdomain.domain.com. Subdomains are generally created for providing more information on a particular subject or product. Subdomains are easier to access and to remember.
Along with Subdomains you will also see Parked domains and Add-on domains. Parked domains are reserved domains that point to your main domain. Using this feature extra domains can be redirected to the main URL. On the contrary Add-on domains have their separate identity from the main domain. They can be hosted under one account and separate set of directories is created in the hosting account. This is a great tool for hosting multiple domains under one account with different content.

Accessing any of your hosting stuff in public is highly insecure. However it is not possible to always be in your private environment and do your hosting related stuff. There are times when you are in public and have to use the resources available in order to keep your work going on. It is not an easy task to access your web hosting account from a public location.
The major reason behind this is that special connections are not permitted from public areas. However if you want to connect to your control panel you can do that. Cpanelproxy.net allows you to use some software called as proxy which allows you to connect to the control panel even if the normal connection is blocked.
You need to get the approval of your host as many Web Host don’t allow proxy connections on their server. cPanel Proxy can be installed on your account but there are no guidelines for using that. If you make some mistakes while connecting there is a possibility of your account being partially inactive. So it’s always good to talk to your Web Host before making any changes to your account. The simplest way to install cPanel proxy is to use a web-based auto installer. In this you need to enter your username and password for cPanel onto a form. For your account safety you need to change the cPanel password instantly once the proxy software is installed. To use the auto-installer, visit http://cpanelproxy.net/autoinstall and fill out the short form. Enter your cPanel account username and then password. The form then asks for the server. This can be the IP address of your server or the name of your server or your domain name.
Aftert that you will get WHM,cPanel and Webmail as options. Webmail works fine even if there is firewall. cPanel is the regular cPanel account and WHM is the panel used by reseller web hosting account holders. The first two options are always checked. Leave them as they are and then click Install to start the installation. If you entered all the information correctly, you will be told that the proxy was installed for webmail and cPanel. If you see any errors, please double-check the information you entered in the form.Once the cPanel proxy is installed, you can access your cPanel account from http://cpanel.domain.com/ and log in with your cPanel username and password as you do normally.

If you are novice to the Web Hosting business then the timeframe between placing your order for a Web Hosting Package and getting the account login details are the most exciting. For those who have hopped from one web host to another, there is hardly any excitement left in it. Once the account setup is done by your web hosting company, you get an email containing all the important information related to your web hosting package. This information is very important and needs to be saved for future reference. In the email you also get the control panel login details created for you by your web host. So now let’s see how to use cPanel and the method to logon to your control panel.
First you need to open your favorite web browser. Now there are two ways to access your cPanel. One is completely secured and the second way is a bit insecure. The correct and safe way for logging into cPanel is https://yourdomainname.com:2083/ or your use your IP Address https://ipaddress:2083/ when you logon to cPanel in this manner you will be prompted or warned for the security certificate not matching. There is nothing to worry about this. You need to accept the certificate and continue…
In the second method you can access the control panel i.e. cPanel by using http://yourdomainname.com:2082/ or you can use this way http://ipaddress:2082/
There are hardly any warnings that are displayed when you logon to cPanel using this method. Most of the people use this method to logon to cpanel however it is not as safe as the first method is. All this information along with the cPanel username and password plus the server IP address is included in he Welcome Email sent to you by your Web Host.

The first thing that you see on a Web Hosting Company’s home page is the lucrative offers and plans that are very tempting. The moment you see some Special going on, you wish to grab the offer. However along with these marketing displays there are some fine prints of their rules that are applicable to you once you purchase the hosting package. You need to go through the TOS and make sure that they do fit your website’s hosting requirements. Let see a few of the important things that you can look for while your purchase. The Server Hardware and the RAM installed on the server. Normally it should be Dual Processors with a minimum of 2GB RAM. Along with that you also need to know the number of accounts that are hosted on the shared servers and it maximum limit. You won’t get the exact number; however on an entry level server with 512 MB RAM there will be approximately 25 to 40 accounts. These figures change to 100 to 200 accounts
On a High End Dedicated Server with 12 GB RAM. Most of the hosts do have Money Back offers. You need to check the clauses of the entire money back offer before you place the order. Uptime Guarantee is also one of the important factors that you need to check. Major Web Hosting providers give 99.9% uptime guarantee. Compensation is given by the web hosting company if they fail to provide the promised Uptime Guarantee. You also need to find out how they handle the bandwidth overages and the cost involved in it. Type of content allowed on the server is also important. You need to be aware of the entire list of things that are not allowed on the servers by your web hosting provider. Apart from the above factors the limit on sending emails per hour, Database limit are always good to check. The key to all this is to ask as many Questions that you can ask pertaining to your hosting requirements. Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policies are a must to read before you place your order.

Major Web Hosting Providers all across the globe prefer to give loads of features to attract all types of customers. They generally bundle up the most wanted and most demanded features, applications and tools in a Web Hosting Package. Here are few of the basic features that you need to keep an eye on while purchasing a Web Hosting Package:-
• Disk Space: Diskspace is nothing but the amount of storage space available on the server. It is calculated or measured in Megabytes or Gigabytes. One Megabyte is approximately equal to 1024 Kilobyte. One Gigabyte is equal to 1000 Megabytes. Your diskspace requirement directly depends on the type of the website and what you intend to do with it. Static Websites do not require huge amount of diskspace. Any of the shared plans with a few MB of space will be perfect for you. The best thing to do is go for some additional diskspace than you think would be sufficient for you hosting requirements. Don’t forget you always have an option to upgrade your package.
Bandwidth: The amount of data transferred from the server or to the server from your website is called as Bandwidth. In simple terms every activity that happens on the server is counted towards your bandwidth. You can measure your bandwidth usage from the control panel. You need to be sure of the amount of bandwidth required and accordingly select your web hosting plan.
• MySQL Databases: Database is another form of Storage which is mainly used by multiple web base scripts in order to access the data uninterruptedly. Online forums, forms, photo galleries etc require a database. It is a must to check the limit set by your Web Hosting Provider for the database usage. The space required for the database is allotted from your diskspace.
Emails: If you are running an online business it is a must to check the email limit set by your Web Hosting Provider. In general there is no limit set to create email accounts per domain. The limit is set on the email traffic on hourly basis. Normally any of the Shared cPanel hosting packages allow you to send 200 to 300 emails per hour.
Apart from this you there are several other features you need to check before you choose a web hosting package. You need to be sure that all the features required by your website to be online are fully supported by web hosting provider.
